My Quick Thoughts
Rocker Was Safe
---------------
Great to see John Rocker did not get killed in New York Thursday night.
Rocker is a fool who should have never opened his mouth. But the Newdawg is not done for fans throwing golf balls, batteries, or any bodily harm to Rocker.
If you want to boo they guy, go right ahead.
Rocker did his job. He faced 3 batters in a 6-4 game in the 8th and held the fort. The Braves went on to beat the Mets 6-4.
New York had to use 700 of its police to protect the idiot.
Alexander Will Be Good

I got to speak with Courtney Alexander. The Mavs draft pick was very cool and he's plans on being a player in the NBA.
He's got a quiet confidence and I'm telling you now he will not fail in Dallas.
If you watch the Knicks play with Allan Houston and Latrell Sprewell you are seeing what the Mavs will bring to the court.
Mike Finley and Alexander could be that kind of killer combo.
NBA Draft Winner

The Clippers were the biggest benefactors of the lockout. Now players are forced to stay five years with a team before free agency. Sweet for the Clippers.
The have Lamar Odom, Corey Maggette, Darius Miles, Kenyon Dooling, Quinten Richardson, and these guys have to serve a 4 or 5 year sentence with the Clippers no matter what.
Sad Soundbite Leaves

I will miss Jayson Williams. He was one of the NBA's good guys. Leg injuries ended his career early and I hate that.
He worked hard and he was a super sound bite for us media guys.
