The 2nd Worst Thing In Sports
They say gambling is the worst thing you can have
pro players and managers involved in. I'll agree with
that.
The second worst, managers having their bonuses tied
to a team!
I found out over the weekend from a Disney insider
that Disney Sports President, Tony Tavares, and Mighty
Ducks General Manager, Pierre Gauthier, get bonuses if
the team comes in under budget.
That's so bush league I can't stand it. So, you
wonder why the Ducks refuse to upgrade their talent
level. Why spend, it only hurts your bottom line.
I'm sure new Angels G.M., Bill Stoneman has the same
deal. Afterall, he's a former banker. A source who
used to work with Stoneman in Montreal told me they
called him a beancounter behind his back.
Disney...taking sports to an all time low. Very nice.
