Rangers Thoughts andCarl Pickens The Cowboy

The Mariners will be Tough

---------------------------------------

The Mariners showed the Rangers and A's they will not go quietly. The M's are 3-1. They beat the Rangers 9-7 in extra innings Friday night.

The M's can hit. They have pitching. They have a bullpen. And they have Lou Pinella. They will win.

Carl Pickens, Does It Matter

-----------------------------------------

The Cowboys needed Carl Pickens and Carl Pickens needed the Dallas Cowboys.

Pickens was a bust with Tennesse last year. Joey Galloway had a better year in 2000 and he only had one game. JG caught a touchdown pass in his only game against Philly.

Pickens didn't have one. Not one touchdown pass. In fact, he only caught 10 balls.

The 2001 Cowboys are shaping up to be one big if.

They can win 6 to 8 games if.........

Tony Banks can become a consistent quarterback that throws more TD's then INT's.

if.......

The offensive line can jell and keep the rush off of the QB and give Emmitt holes.

if.......

Greg Ellis and Ebenzer Eukban can play at a Pro Bowl level as Defensive Ends

if.......

The Cowboys can find some corners that can cover ANYBODY

So, Pickens signing could help or mean nothing at all.

Aikman----The Man

AIKMAN CALLS IT A CAREER

---------------------------------------------

Troy Aikman played the game the way it was supposed to be played. He was the Iceman in the huddle.

Aikman could have put up big numbers, but he chose to stay in a system that won big games. Aikman's 3 Super Bowl titles prove my point.

I'll miss #8. I hope to be there when he's inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
