Finally, The Dawg Is Back

Friday October 20th

Ok, Ok, I'm so sorry for the delays on the Dawgbytes. Never again will I go this long.

Let me start with....

The Cowboys
-----------

It's time for the team to stop covering up for mistakes made by other coaches, players, and bad scouts.

I'll start with Troy Aikman. It's not all his fault but the quarterback must make plays to win games. He didn't make a play for the team last Sunday when they needed them.

It's no crime to say that on TV like I have. It's the truth. Aikman admitted he lost the game. But Owner Jerry says no. Come on Jerry. If Ryan McNeil got burned for four touchdowns he would get pulled. If Erik Williams have four false starts he would be taken out of the game.

It's no different with Troy Aikman. At least it shouldn't be.

Up next, Jack Reilly. The offensive coordinator has to run the football first. They make "think" they are running the Rams offense. Until I still 2 players with 4.4 speed at receiver and a running back with wide receiver skills, shut up about the Rams offense. You can replicate, but that doesn't mean you can re-create.

Mike Zimmer, the defensive coordinator. He's put the Cowboys in a position to win games. The defense gave up less than 19 points to the Giants and Panthers. That should be enough to win games.

Keyshawn & The Bucs
-------------------

Nice job of doing nothing on Thursday night in the clutch. This team is weighed down by Super Bowl expectations.

They are now in third place in the NFC Central. Barring a Minnesota meltdown, the Bucs win not repeat as division champs. The road to the Super Bowl is tougher on a wild card team.

The finger will be pointed at Keyshawn. Wrong, the finger needs to be pointed at QB Shaun King. Troy Aikman would love to play in that offense. King can't make plays. If your QB can't make a play, you can't win in the NFL. King had two picks and no TDs.

Yankees And Mets
----------------

I'll be pulling for the Yankees in the World Series. I think Joe Torre will finish his career as the Yankee skipper if they win it.

Roger Clemens better hope he doesn't have to pitch at Shea Stadium. He'll get the high and inside pitch from a Met. They have not forgotten about the bean ball to Mike Piazza.

Alonzo Gone
------------

The Heat can win without Alonzo. The Heat can not win a NBA title without Alonzo. The road to a title just got easier for the Blazers, Lakers, and Spurs.
