I don't think Mav fans so much want ya'll to shake the pom-poms,
it's the Mav bashing that's annoying. All you do is mock the fans for being
optimistic. I'm a realist and I know that they don't have what it takes
yet, but I'm not going to hate on the optimistic fans.

Q)
Hey,
Here are some reasons why I think the Mavs can win. I am picking the Mavs
to win this series in 7.
Reasons:
1. The Mavs are very relaxed now that they got through the Portland
series. Going 7 games against Portland will turn out to help them more
than hurt them because athletes play their best when they have nothing to
lose and that is their atitude now that they have "new life".
2. The Kings have been very inconsistent this season and did not appear to
be peaking at the end of the season. The Jazz did not bring it against
them and I think the Mavs might be able to surprise them early in the
series and then hang on in the end.
3. Let's not look at the regular season record as a negative. In Game 2
against the Kings, Nowitski misses a shot that should have won it for them
and then in Game 3, Bobby Jackson hits a bank shot 3 to tie that ultimately
kills the Mavs. This is a team that has definitely gotten it's share of
good luck against the Mavs and it is conceivable to think that luck will
turn this time around.
4. And maybe most important, the Mavs are better this year than last year.
They lost a tight 5 game series last year as game 4 really decided the
whole series. This year the chemistry is better and I believe that "they
believe" they can win and I don't feel that they believed that last year.
But hey, that's why they play the game so let's let them pull off the
sweats, strap up the high tops and give it a shot.

And you posted my message on your web site last week and labeled me the
winner of the doom and gloom award? Anyway, you are right, the both of you
are. And I'm not negative, I'm just a realist and I was right about
everything I wrote in that e-mail last week. The Mavs have nothing to be
ashamed of, they are about to lose to the NBA's best team and the team that
should be the defending champions had they not been shafted by officiating
in game 6 vs LA.Get an interior prescience and all will be well, even if
that means no Finley or Nash to get one.

Q)
mavs will when 'cuz:
1] mavs don't want to be embarrassed again defense wise
2]fin-dawg is due for a couple break-out games
3]is the kings defense that much better than the mavs (a) no
4]najera can shut down stojakovic
5]one of the PGs will step up. will nash crumble or will he just let Nick take over
6]there's should be just one task for LaFrentz to complete: BOX OUT FLOPPIE
7]and finally Dirk is just simply better than C-Webb

We shall see. I don't buy it, but we shall see. I'll still take the Kings to win the series.

Q)
U guys need to move to the Granola State...
The only good thing you've done Newy is get
Scott Murray off the airways... actually, I do
enjoy your broadcast on channel 5, but why
interrupt it with a commercial... that allows me
to switch to channel 8 for an uninterrupted
sports broadcast. You gentlemen are entitled
to your opinions. In my mind, the Mavs lose
in 5, in my heart, they win in 7... I guess that's
why they play the games... Go Mavs...

Why do we have to move because we don't think the Mavericks can't beat the Kings?
I don't have any control on the commericals and I don't like the fact they break up the sportscast either. But thanks for watching. If I'm in break, just go get a glass of milk. No need to flip the station on a brotha.

What's up guys...Just thought I'd say that the Mavs,
as hard as I'm rootin for 'em, are goin' down in 5. I
can see 'em grabbin 1 in the AAC, but nothin'
else...Webber and Co. are gonna put a hurtin' on
Bradley and Lafrentz much worse than the Blazers ever
did.
The Big 3 + Van Exel are gonna have to play lights out
just to MAYBE get this series to 6, but sorry, Mark...Go get us a big man.
It's gonna be a fun series to watch, but nothing else for the good guys.

If having back to back games is intended to help increase the numbers of
viewers, why are the start times 8:30PM and 9:30PM.
That seem ludicrous.

The Mavericks are the second game of the night. That's the only way I can explain it.

Q)
Hey Coop & Dog,
I was just wondering, who are your favorite NBA teams? Obviously it's not
the Mavericks because I think any fan, even a hardcore realist, has to
believe that their team can pull it out. Are the King's the favorites? You
bet. But you know what, the Stars were probably riding similar odds with
their series and we know how that ended. The Stars had the better players
all around but the Ducks got em by playing hard and having just a bit of
luck on their side. Let's tip it off and see which way the ball lands shall
we.

Favorite teams have nothing to do with it. We are just calling the series as we see it.
Chuck has the Kings in a sweep. I say Sacto in 5.
By the way, the only teams I have are Carolina basketball and the Cowboys. I grew up loving those two.
