Bad move guys. There are a refreshing sports voice in
the metroplex. Galloway is respected and has an
audience but he doesn't appeal to the younger
generation. You guys have no clue of the black
audience Newy has brought to your station. I've got
several people listening just because of Newy. We all
know and respect Coop's knowledge and it's a mistake
to remove him just as it was when he left the Ticket.
This duo is outstanding. You really need to rethink
this move. There is a market for an audience which
doesn't consist of bubba's.

If Kidd is the better point guard, and he is, then why not make the
trade? I keep hearing that this move would not get the Mavs a title,
perhaps not, but the goal should always be to get better. Having Kidd
instead of Nash would be an upgrade, that is undeniable. Kidd's
numbers would be fantastic in Nellie's system. I keep hearing this crap
about team chemistry, is Jason Kidd a bad guy? When did that happen?
We also were told that Van Exel was a cancer. If Dirk is forever
damaged by Nashs' departure, then Dirk needs to grow up, this is the
NBA, it's a business not a social club. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS,
upgrade if you have the opportunity to do so.
It is beyond me how the masses can say that Kidd is the best point
guard in the world on one hand, but on the other say they would not
exchange him for Nash.

You need Kidd to agree to come to Dallas and you need to put together a package that makes Jersey happy.
I also think Kidd wants to make sure the Mavericks get a really good post player. Why come so he can throw the ball into Shawn Bradley or Raef LaFrentz down low.
I still think he ends up back in Jersey.

Q)
Newy,
I just heard on the Cornheiser show that you are going to replace him for the last two hours during the week. Congratulations! Will miss Tony, but you will do well there.
But why are you leaving Chuck?????????????????? You and I both know that Chuck can get on a tear, and you seem to be the only one that can bring him under control. Geez - Chuck alone on "The Big Show" ????? The Yankee in him will come out too much! He will begin to get more hate mail than you can believe. Even the Klan won't like him when he gets on his soapbox. Ha!
By the way, what hour is Galloway going to be on?
Good luck, and look forward to listening to you.

Randy Galloway will be 3-6 PM.
I didn't leave Chuck. This is a management decision. Chuck has been great to work with. He will hopefully stay at the radio station and we will still be able to entertain listeners from time to time like the old days.

Q)
Newy,
You're da man. I hear you down Chan Ho Park all the time, but don't you know he's going to be in the baseball hall of fame? Yes, who did Barry Bonds hit his 71st and 72nd homers off?
That's a love/hate one for me, because I bleed Dodger blue and only liked the Giants because Dusty.
Hey two quick things:
Please remind me of that word Tim Hardaway used (I can use that in a message). I heard that interview with him, yourself, and Chuck, it was hilarious.
Last, I saw on newdawg.com the Antonio Davis and Morris Peterson for Raef LaFrentz, but then I saw a Davis and the #4 in exchange for LaFrentz and the #29 (see: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=dal ). It sounds like a good deal, Antonio will at least pull down a rebound (that's what they need) and LaFrentz needs to go, go, go.
Hey I'm a transplant from L.A. any news on what my Lakers are doing?

Chan Ho Park should have stayed in Los Angeles. Dodger Stadium was great for him and I hate that money and Scott Boras led him to Texas.
I can't remember the word Tim used. I'm getting old. But it was funny.
No deal yet on Raef, but I really want the Mavericks to trade him someplace else. He has talent, but he's not what they need.
The Lakers can use the mid level exception on a player. I think Juwan Howard would be perfect. I also think they will cut Robert Horry and re-sign him. They also need another scoring guard.

Keep hearing where Randy Galloway and Bill Stinneford are
taking over the 3-6 in July. What's up with you and Coop??
Thanks

Coop and I will no longer work together. Our last show should be right before the Cowboys begin training camp.

Q)
Say bro Newy what's up with the shake up? Why did they replace you
guys with boring Randy Galloway?
I enjoyed listening to you guys and can't wait until you start your new shift but I hope I can hear it at work online through my computer..

Life is all good!
I hate to lose Chuck it was a great joy to work with. Trust me, he will be one of the names in College hoops and football on ESPN TV over the next few years. I know he will be fine.
Give Galloway a chance.

Wallace, the king of complainers, coming to a team of complainers - I'm not so sure that's a smart move. We need leadership and a big man in the middle, not more players who gripe at every single call.
Tiger - ever think about using ear plugs? He gets all flustered (I don't blame him!) with camera clicks, fans shouting out and other distractions before/during his swing. What about using ear plugs to help "shut out" all that noise? Just an idea.

Rasheed Wallace can play. Years ago, most folks thought Chris Webber was total cancer. Chris had all sorts of problems with coaches and the law. He still has problems with the law, come to think of it.
But my feeling is sometimes when you are a good team you have to take players and think of them like stocks. Buy low and sell high.
Look at Nick Van Exel. Cancer in Denver. Star in Dallas.
Robert Horry. The owner wanted him out in Phoenix, big time player on three championship teams in Los Angeles.
Tiger...he is sensitive like all golfers. Jamal Mashburn. Blamed for a playoff loss in Miami. Made the All Star team with the Hornets.
Rasheed Wallace is an all star type post player. Shawn and Raef are nice guys. What has that done for anybody in Dallas? Not much. You can't have 12 milk drinkers.

Q)
Here is my blockbuster move to ensure my Spurs team remain a contender for years to come. Tell me what you think Newy.
First, we sign Jason Kidd, straight up. Since we have the cap room, we don't have to get rid of Parker, and we don't need to send Jersey any compensation (except anger management classes for Kenyon Martin).
Second. Chicago sends 4 players and 3 First Round Draft Picks (possibly Lottery Picks) to Minnesota for Kevin Garnett.
4. Last, The Spurs trade Jason Kidd and Stephen Jackson to Chicago for Kevin Garnett!!! Wishful thinking, I know, but if something like this happened, DYNASTY!!!!
SPURS-2003 NBA CHAMPIONS*
*--ENDED LAKERS DYNASTY IN THE PROCESS. HOW DO U LIKE THAT ZEN MASTER??????
Let me know what yuo think about my GM move Newy, thanks.

The NBA rules won't allow you to sign a player like Kidd and then ship him off to Chicago.
That's one reason why Raef is still in Dallas.
I think Kidd stays in Jersey.
