Q) Newy, I’m glad somebody tells it like it is. I think Parcells got far to much credit for coaching the Boys. Yes he won two Super Bowls, both with the Giants but only his first win with Phil Simms was a dominate win. They should have lost the second one to the Bills who were clearly the better team on the field. The only thing Parcells brought to the Cowboys was Terry Glenn. His drafts except for 2005 were mediocre at best. All of his number one picks were busts with the exception of Demarcus Ware. Where was Bobby Carpenter this year. Number one picks should be starting. All the free agents he brought in that played for him in the past were busts. And I’ll tell you where he really hurt the Cowboys and I haven’t heard anybody but you say it. He never developed a quarterback. How did Jerry Jones allow him to bring in Vinny Testerverde and Drew Bledsoe, two virtual statues in the pocket, both clearly on the downside of their careers. If it wasn’t for Tony Romo the Cowboys would have had another losing season. I think the game has past Parcells by and I was glad to see him retire. He had his great years, unfortunately none with the Cowboys. Well I’m done venting, but again, you wrote a really good article…………….Angelo Bellini…………

A) Angelo,

Thanks.

Q) Newy, with all the posts about, who the next coach should be. I just wanna say this, NO RETREADS or coaches that have no record of winning. However, more new blood should be on the sidelines... No retreads, please Jerry!!

 --JC Lewis, Tustin, CA

A) You're gonna see a retread.

But that is not all bad. Tony Dungy was a retread and he may win the Super Bowl.

Bill Belichick, Joe Torre and Don Shula didn't win championships with the first teams that hired them.

Q) Hey Newy: Man, the boyz broke my heart this year and put me on life support after that botched field goal attempt. But honestly, the performance of the team falls directly on Parcells. How can you have not one but 3 or 4 talented receivers and not throw the damn ball against a depleted Seahawk defensive backfield..How!? That alone should be a firing offense and clue number one, that Parcells wasn't in it...to win it. However comments from T.O., should not come from his mouth at all...Hey T.O., the difference between you and Parcells...Is that he can write a book about being a champion.... And although you started a camp for youngsters about being a good champion.... You ain't, and based on your attitude and comments from your team-mates, with the exception of a few in the Eagles locker-room.... You'll never be. Peace Newy JC, Moreno Valley, CA formerly of Tustin, CA fanz23@msn.com

A) Great points.

Q) after all who would want to work for Jerry Jones, i don't think there are to many coaches out there in line, cause everyone knows it Jerry Jones that makes the decisions the coaches have to follow thru, Jerry needs to retire or let the coaches coach. Please retract what you said about Bill leaving, that was wrong news commentary, and after all, isn't the news journalist supposed to report the real news and not something made up? thank you

 --Debbie ricker, mckinney, TX

A) I said the truth about Bill and I'll stand by it.

My Saturday column in the Star-Telegram will shed more light on Mr. 34-32.

Q) Newy, I did not like your commentary on Bill Parcells today. After all wasn't it Jerry Jones who gave Bill til Feb 1st to decide whether he was leaving or not, you broadcasted it like Bill just up and left.

 --Debbie ricker, mckinney, TX

A) Bill left the organization in a big hole. They were shocked the guy left. For all the money the Jones family paid him, he could have made the decision quicker.

Bill should have done it for the assistants and staff members with families who could have hooked up with other teams while he waited so long to call it a career.

Q) Tell Jerry Jones to swallow his pride and hire Jimmy Johnson back no matter what the cost. You know they say pride cometh before the fall. Well Jerry Saved his pride, but the Cowboys have fallen. I hope he's happy.

 --mike cryer, arlington, TX

A) Jimmy Johnson is happy in the TV booth.

Why come back? Does it ever really work? Dick Vermeil did it in St.Louis, but his run in Kansas City was a failure.

Jimmy needs to stay out of the game.

Q) (1) Get rid of Bledsoe and get draft a younger QB to back up romo. (2) Get rid of Anthony Henery. He's has been getting burned for two seasons now and everybody knows to go deep on him. Get a taller and younger person to replace him. (3) Get rid of Julius Jones and replace him with another back to back up Barber. Jones is good, but he won't hit the line he waits for a big hole. Barber on the other hand will hit the line hard. Barber should be our #1 running back. (4) Now that Parcells is gone (thank God) lets get a good coach. Like Norv Turner, Charlie Weiss, or Bob Stoops. Get A coach that will let Romo roll out. Parcells stopped letting him roll out and down went the wins, Also take into consideration we lost Greg Ellis and had no one to fill his shoes and that hurt the pass rush. Ellis and Ware a great combo. I guess I got it all off my chest until next season. Thanks for listening to me. Have a super great day.

 --mike cryer, arlington, TX

A) That's a very large checklist.

I'll say this for Jones, he was never used properly in the Parcells offense.

Henry will most likely be moved, but that makes him one expensive free safety and oh by the way, who replaces him at corner?

Q) I couldn't agree more with your article on BP and his head games. He ruined a team on a run by playing head games with Romo. He hasn't gotten the job done and I was really disappointed that Jerry didn't play a little head game back on BP when the team collapsed. Kick BP to the curb before we get anymore BP "guys'' in here! I say the play should be to go after Jimmy for a three year contract that would give him one to get the defense revamped and re-schemed and then back-to-back super bowls. That would allow Jimmy an opportunity to go out like he wanted on top and on his terms and it would allow Jerry to be able to turn the reigns over to Stephen.

A) Wow. More and more Cowboy fans are tired of The Tuna's act in Big D.
